Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of cut flower consumers, the influence of marketing through social media on sales volume and the implementation of cut flower marketing through online media at the Citra Florist Surabaya flower shop. Respondents in this study were 50 consumers of cut flowers at the Citra Florist Surabaya flower shop. The research method uses descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS. The results of the research show: 1) The characteristics of cut flower consumers are the majority of women from Surabaya with the age of 20-30 years, last education of bachelor's degree, work as an entrepreneur and income ≥ Rp. 4,000,000/month. 2) The variables of social media, marketplace, trust, and information disclosure have a significant effect on the sales volume of cut flowers. 3) social media Instagram, Whatsapp, Facebook are used to facilitate cut flower marketing. Shopee and Tokopedia make it easy for owners to find out consumer satisfaction or complaints from consumers through reviews in the application.
