Abstract
Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt l.) is one of the food crops that is consumed and very much liked by people in Indonesia. The average productivity of sweet corn in Indonesia is low, only reaching 4.81 tons/ha. This productivity is far below the desired sweet corn yield potential of 14–18 tons/ha. This study aims to determine the effect of combination of PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) concentrations and doses of goat manure on the growth and yield of sweet corn. This research was conducted in March 2020–May 2020 in the Yard, Cipari Village, Cipari District, and Cilacap Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RBD), which consisted of two factors. Factor 1, namely the administration of PGPR concentration (P) consists of 4 levels, 0 ml/L, 10 ml/L, 20 ml/L, and 30 ml/L Factor 2, the dose of goat manure (K), consists of 3 levels: 0 tons/Ha, 10 tons/Ha, and 20 tons/Ha. The combination of two factors resulted in 12 treatment combinations; each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 36 experimental units. The results showed that the combination of PPGR treatment and doses of goat manure had a very significant effect on the parameters of plant length, cob length, cob length without husk, cob diameter, cob diameter without husk, fresh weight of cob without husk, and production per hectare. PGPR concentration of 20 ml/l and goat manure of 20 tons/ha (P2K2) showed the best results compared to the control. Keywords: Sweet Corn, PGPR, Goat Manure
