Abstract

Smartwatch is a device that can make it easier for users to monitor their own health. According to Priceza Indonesia, in Indonesia, Smartwatch users have increased and many Smartwatch brands have become known by the public. The impact of the increase in Smartwatch users has caused regular watch users to start switching to Smartwatches, but the features contained in the applications on Smartwatches have supported users, especially in measuring their sports activity, considering that the Smartwatch itself must synchronize with other devices, so that it works optimally. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to find out what factors influence the user's intention to use a smartwatch, especially in sports. This study uses the TAM measurement model developed by Dutot et al with 8 variables used including Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Attitude, Intention to use, Perceived affective quality, Availability, Mobility, and Trust. This TAM measurement model is one model that is able to explain the factors that influence Smartwatch users. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire filled out by 150 Smartwatch users. The research data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The software used for model testing in this study is SmartPLS 3. From the analysis performed, it shows that Mobility influences Perceived usefulness and Perceived ease of use. Perceived affective quality affects Perceived usefulness and Availability affects Perceived ease of use for using Smartwatch. Meanwhile, Trust has no effect on Perceived usefulness or Perceived ease of use. Availability and mobility variables are stronger influences than perceived affective quality and trust.
