Abstract

Performance appraisal is a process within an organization aimed at assessing the performance of individuals in carrying out their work. Universitas Tujuh Belas Agustus 1945 Surabaya is one of the universities located in Surabaya where the service system for employees is perceived to be less optimal. In their performance evaluation, managers still use paper or handwritten methods, which pose risks of loss or damage to the conventional documentation. The current performance appraisal is conducted by managers, which may result in subjective assessments from a single perspective. Therefore, there is a need for an objective employee performance evaluation information system. This research aims to design and develop an employee performance evaluation information system using the 360-Degree Feedback method. By utilizing the 360-Degree Feedback method, subjective assessments can be reduced as evaluations are conducted vertically and horizontally. The employee performance evaluation information system is developed using PHP programming language and MySQL as the database, while the system model is designed using Unified Modeling Language. The outcome of this research is a web-based employee performance evaluation information system. The system is capable of automatically and objectively interpreting the performance evaluation process. Testing is conducted using the black box method, and the results indicate that the system meets the functional requirements and is free from errors. The implementation of this employee performance evaluation information system is expected to provide accurate and objective results regarding the performance of the evaluated individuals.
