Abstract
During the Covid-19 era, all lines of education were required to be able to carry out remote learning online for the sake of continuing educational activities. This study aims to find out how much influence Whatsapp Messenger has on the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used in this study is associative causal quantitative, data taken from S1 students of Communication Studies at the National Development University for the 2018-2020 class using the slovin formula and using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data validity was tested using the Pearson correlation formula and measured by product moment correlation with a significance level of a = 0.01 and analysis was performed using SPSS. The results showed that the use of whatsapp social media had an effect of 64.2% on the dissemination of learning information and the rest was influenced by other factors that were not used in this study.
