Abstract

This Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) plant uses the gas phase method in its manufacture, with the main raw materials ethylene, 1-butene, and hydrogen which will be reacted in a fluidized bed reactor with a temperature of 80 C and a pressure of 15 atm with the help of a Ziegler Natta catalyst. The resulting Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) is then processed in a cyclone and extruder to separate LLDPE solids and compress LLDPE solid powder at a temperature of 150 C. Then Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) is processed in a pelletizer to cut according to the size of 3 mm. Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) which is formed is then in the screener and then accommodated in product silos and marketed in solid form. The form of company chosen in the implementation of Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) production is a Limited Liability Company (PT) form so it is hoped that it will be easy to obtain capital by selling shares to the public, legal entities, and individuals. The design of this factory is determined as follows : 1. Production Capacity = 48,000 tons/year 2. Form of Organization = Limited Liability Company 3. Organization System = Staff and Line 4. Factory Location = Cilegon, Banten 5. Raw Materials = Ethylene, 1-Butene, and Hydrogen 6. Utility Requirements: a. Steam: 453,390 lb/hour b. Water: 64,778 m3/day c. Fuel: 136.0036 L/day 7. Economic Analysis: a. Fixed capital ( FCI ): IDR 238,400,379,798 b. Working Capital ( WCI ): Rp. 269,877,544,468 c. Total Investment (TCI): IDR 508,277,924,266 d. IRR: 30.39 % e. ROI Before Tax: 45.78 % f. ROI After Tax: 34.34 % g. PB: 3 years h. BEP: 35.9404 %
