Abstract
Remote sensing technology is important in the field of Civil Engineering to determine the earth's topography, hydrological cycle, and others. In this study, Landsat-8 satellite imagery was used to observe the entire earth's surface in the northern part of Tuban. Boom Beach also has a high potential for marine resources that must be maintained, in an effort to preserve high marine resources that must be considered, one of which is dissolved oxygen. The greater the number of dissolved oxygen (DO) indicates that the water quality in the region is getting higher. This study aims to analyze the distribution of dissolved oxygen in the coastal area of Boom Beach, Tuban Regency. The method used in analyzing dissolved oxygen levels is by utilizing remote sensing technology with Landsat 8 satellite imagery. The results of this study can confirm the condition of the coastal area of Tuban City from the distribution of dissolved oxygen (DO). The results of the analysis show that the insitu data value for dissolved oxygen is 0.58 – 5.79 mg/L. The degree of pollution classification is in the lightly polluted category. Whereas the highest correlation between in-situ data and dissolved oxygen image data is 0.654283, which means a moderate positive correlation. The results of the analysis using the Chi-Square H0 test were rejected, which means that there is a difference between in-situ dissolved oxygen and dissolved oxygen in satellite images from 2018 to 2023.
