Abstract

Indonesia is a country where almost 70 percent of its territory is ocean. One area that has potential in the marine and maritime sector is the Tuban area. The Tuban area itself has a coastline of 65 km and a deep sea area of 22,068 km2. Generally, the people of Tuban work as fishermen, especially in coastal areas. For example, in the Kutorejo area on the coast of Tuban, many local residents see the beach as their main source of livelihood in terms of tourism, fishing and other industries. The abundant natural wealth of the coastal city of Tuban can be maximized through science and technology. One of the technologies used is remote sensing technology. Satellite instruments can also be used in remote sensing. On Landsat-8 satellite imagery, it is possible to observe the entire earth's surface every two days in the northern part of Tuban. For best results, the system used can use a mathematical system. The results of this analysis will later be confirmed with sea level conditions. The purpose of this study was to analyze the distribution of sea surface temperature and dissolved oxygen concentrations in the coastal area of Tuban Regency. The results of the analysis show that the value of insitu data for sea surface temperature is 30.50° - 33.70° C and for dissolved oxygen is 1.26 – 6.20 mg/L. Whereas for image data with the highest correlation for sea surface temperature, it shows that the value for image data is 31.00° – 31.11° C and for dissolved oxygen is 10.86 – 11.49 mg/L. The two in-situ data have a fairly low positive correlation.
