Abstract
Cardamom Is An Annual Spice With High Economic Value. It Is Grown By People As An Intercrop Or Intercropping Crop Because It Does Not Require Separate Land. High Demand Makes Cardamom Development Important, But Is Hampered By Farmers' Lack Of Knowledge About Cultivation And Opportunities. The Study "Cardamom Land Assessment In Kucur Hamlet, Sumberejo Village, Pasuruan District" Will Evaluate Land Suitability And Identify Improvements Needed For Cardamom Cultivation. The Land Suitability Assessment Will Determine The Factors That Need To Be Improved To Be Suitable For Cardamom Cultivation Actually Or Potentially. This Research Uses A Selected Survey Method With Qualitative Descriptive Analysis. The Qualitative Approach Is Based On Field Observations To Describe The Condition Of The Study Area And Analyzing Soil Samples In The Laboratory. The Sampling Method Used Is The Purposive Sampling Survey Method, By Selecting Areas Based On Qualifications Or Criteria, Then Selecting Points In The Selected Area For Sampling. The Study Of Land Suitability For Cardamom Plants (Ammomum Cardamomum L.) On Several Land Slopes In Sumberejo Village, Pasuruan Regency, Among Others, Is The Actual Land Suitability For Cardamom Plants Identified Class N (Unsuitable) With Slope Limiting Factors And Potential Land Suitability Classes For Cardamom Plants Obtained Class S3 (Somewhat Suitable) With Slope Limiting Factors, Base Saturation And Drainage At SPL 6. Management Advice On Slope Limiting Factors By Means Of Bench Terraces For SPL 1 To SPL 2, While For Garden Terraces At SPL 5 To SPL 6, Limiting Factors Of Base Saturation By Adding Fertilizers, Organic Matter And Liming.
