Abstract

Crop growth and yields are highly dependent on how much the optimal nutrient requirements of the commodity can be met by the soil. Karangploso sub-district has a large enough land area for the agricultural sector. Through this research, it is expected to be able to produce data on the condition of agricultural land in Karangploso Subdistrict. This research was conducted in Karangploso Subdistrict and the SDL laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The research time was held from February to April 2023. this research used 9 parameters namely pH, Texture, Content weight, Specific gravity, Porosity, CEC, total N, organic C and available P. and 4 types of land use namely Rice fields, Forests, Gardens and Tegalan. data processing using correlation tests with SPSS 26 applications. the results of the study found that there were differences in nutrient content in each land use. the correlation results showed a strong relationship between pH and soil organic C. there was a strong correlation between organic C and total N. The results of the test of physical and chemical properties of soil showed a significant difference in various land uses. The test results of the highest soil organic C and total N content were shown in forest land use with average values at depths of 0-20 and 20-40, namely 4.21% and 3.94%, and for total N in forest land at depths of 0-20 and 20-40, namely 0.23 ppm and 0.34 ppm. The highest soil pH value is shown in paddy fields at a depth of 0-20 which is 6.6. Soil CEC levels in various land uses are in the high category, the highest is located on moorland land use which is 39.84 cmol.kg-1 at a soil depth of 20-40. The results of the correlation test on all land uses showed that organic C had a significant effect on total N content, porosity and soil bulk density. Then the relationship between dust and clay fractions is negatively correlated but strong.
