Abstract
Surabaya is the second largest metropolitan city after Jakarta and is one of the supports for the development of education in Indonesia. Along with the development of education in Indonesia, the interest of prospective new students is increasing, both from the area around Surabaya and areas outside Surabaya. One of the universities in Surabaya is the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) is a university located in Surabaya which was established in 1957. This university has several campuses in Surabaya. The ITS Sukolilo campus occupies 180 hectares of land, with a total building area of approximately 150,000 m2. Currently in 2022 ITS is building ITS Tower 2 of the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical Engineering and Informatics. ITS Tower 2 was built as a lecture building for the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Information (consisting of classrooms, lecturer rooms, laboratories, auditoriums, meeting rooms, exhibition areas, multifunction rooms, rooftops and supporting rooms) which are in one storey building. Tower ITS 2 is classified as a High Rise Building, which is a high-rise building that has podiums, towers, and basements that function to reduce overturning moments in buildings and have columns, which are structural parts that support the load above and are channeled to the foundation. Currently the ITS Tower is under construction which is planned to have 11 floors. When the author carried out practical work in October 2022 construction activities were underway on the 2nd floor. The ITS 2 Tower building project was carried out by PT.WIKA as the main contractor and PT. Parigraha MK consultant.
