Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of public service motivation, work engagement, and organizational commitment on job satisfaction. In addition, it also test work engagement and organizational commitment as a mediating variables. Mall Pelayanan Publik Siola Surabaya is the population in this study by determining the sample using convenience sampling. The research sample used was 135 public sector employees using SEM-PLS analysis. The results of this study are public service motivation and organizational commitment have a positive effect on job satisfaction, while work engagement is proven to have no effect. Another result is that public service motivation has a positive effect on organizational commitment and work engagement. Then organizational commitment can mediate the influence of public service motivation on job satisfaction, while work engagement is proven not to mediate the effect.
