Abstract

Surabaya City is a city located in East Java Province. Wide Surabaya City ±326.81 km2, with a population of 2,880,284 people (Central Agency Surabaya City Statistics). The rapid growth of traffic in the region, resulted in congestion at several points in the city of Surabaya. Objective this study to analyze the mapping of temperature and air pressure to traffic density that can occur during traffic rush hours, namely in the morning (06.00-08.00 WIB) and in the afternoon (15.30-17.30 WIB) on regional roads North Surabaya by examining the degree of saturation and vehicle volume using a database in the form of a Geographic Information System (GIS). Collection direct data to the research site using a thermometer, barometer and counter checkers. From the results of the air pressure survey at all research points on morning rush hour the highest score for humidity is on Jalan Kedung Cowek (Segment VIII) 70.1% RH and the highest CO2 is on Jalan Putro Agung (Segment IX) with a CO2 value of 648.4 ppm, meanwhile during the afternoon rush hour the value The highest Humidity is on Jalan Kapasan (Segment V) 65.4%RH and for CO2 levels are on Jalan Raya Karang Asem (Segment X) with a CO2 value 552.2 ppm. From the results of data processing, it is known that traffic jams occur in almost all places study. Temperature and air pressure increase from the morning rush hour and hours busy afternoon. Thematic mapping using ArcGIS applications using attributes polylines and polygons.
