Abstract
Chili cultivation is still very profitable because the demand and needs are very high. One way to increase the growth and production of chili plant is in terms of correct fertilization. One of the fertilizers that can be used to increase crop production is manure. Manure is made from livestock manure such as chickens and cows. Manure from chicken manure can be used to help plant growth and productivity from the vegetative phase to the generative phase. Manure from cow manure can be used as a soil conditioner that can support crop productivity. This study aims to determine the effect of chicken and cow manure doses on the growth and yield of chili plants. The research was conducted in April - August 2021 in the South Land of the Agro-climatic Faculty of Agriculture UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur. The research design used RAL with 2 factors. The first factor was the dose of chicken manure with 4 levels, (A0) without chicken manure, (A1) 300 g/polybag, (A2) 500 g/polybag and (A3) 700 g/polybag. The second factor was the dose of cow manure with 4 levels, (P0) without cow manure, (P1) 375 g/polybag, (P2) 500 g/polybag and (P3) 625 g/polybag repeated three times so there were 48 trial units. Further test analysis using BNT 5%. The results showed that the combination between chicken and cow manure doses did not give a significant effect. The amount of chicken manure doses had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, age of first flower appearance, number of productive branches, number of flowers, number of fruits per plant, number of harvested fruits per plant and fruit weight per plant at a dose of 500 g /polybag and fruit set at a dose of 300 g/polybag. The amountt of cow manure doses had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, number of branches, age of first flower appearance, number of productive branches, number of flowers, number of fruits per plant, number of harvested fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant and average fruit weight per fruit of chili plant at a dose of 500 g/polybag and fruit set at a dose of 625 g/polybag.
