Abstract

Carbon emissions in Indonesia continue to increase every year. This is caused by several factors, one of which is the ever-increasing use of fossil fuels. Excessive carbon emissions cause the earth's surface temperature to warm up. The earth's hot temperature causes several negative effects, such as rising sea levels, etc. In 2022, Indonesia will host the G20 Summit with one of the goals agreed upon by G20 members is to reduce carbon emissions produced by each G20 country. Effective policies are needed to reduce the amount of carbon emissions in each country. Therefore, a model design is made to consider the most optimal policy to overcome this. The research uses a dynamic system model, with the process of identifying and defining problems, system conceptualization, model formulation, model simulation, verification and validation of policy analysis models, and policy implementation. The proposed scenarios are adding renewable power generation capacity, subsidizing electric vehicles and reforestation.
