Abstract
To determine the extent to which the organization has met the standards of good information technology process management, an assessment is needed that can determine targets for improving existing information technology. In the implementation of IT governance in the Diskominfo Gresik Regency several problems were found, such as minimal human resource capabilities and capacity, lack of understanding of each position which was marked by the majority of employees not being computer graduates so that the ability of some employees was said to be less professional due to limitations understanding of the urgency of IS/IT. So this study aims to find out the results of the analysis of the maturity level objective and provide useful recommendations for increasing operational and staff productivity using business objectives 15 at the Gresik Regency Communication and Informatics Office using the COBIT 4.1 framework using Microsoft Excel Tools. The result of measuring the maturity level is 2.90, the results of this study define that Diskominfo Gresik Regency is in the Defined condition, or at Level 3, which means that the company has realized the urgency related to IT processes. Several processes have been equipped with SOP, but there are also a number of processes that do not yet have standardization, such as the implementation of technical training on a system. Deficiencies in the application of information technology in companies can be identified, but they have not been able to overcome the deficiencies as a whole because they are still ad hoc and informal.
