Abstract
This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of profitability and leverage on cash holdings with firm size as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach method. The population in this study are all trading sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for 2020-2021. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method based from criteria for the study and obtained of 17 companies as samples in this study. The data used is secondary data obtained from the financial statements of the sample companies. Data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The result of this research is that profitability has no significant positive effect on cash holding. Leverage has no significant negative effect on cash holdings. Firm size strengthens the relationship between profitability and leverage on cash holdings.
