Abstract

The city of Pacitan has a wealth of beautiful nature, with karst rocks and beaches that give the designation of 1001 caves. In accordance with the vision of the Pacitan City Government contained in the RPJMD to increase economic income in various fields and one of them is tourism and education. In an effort to increase this sector, there is potential for cultural development which is now fading due to the shifting times and decreased interest by the next generation. Therefore, it is proposed to design an Art And Culture Center as a place or container that is used as a cultural center that can accommodate and develop culture in Pacitan. In addition, disaster potential must also be considered in this design because Pacitan City has geographical conditions that are prone to natural disasters such as landslides and earthquakes. To overcome this, this design takes the theme of a sustainable site with a bioclimatic architectural approach with a Symtomatic design method to accommodate site conditions that have an unstable climate.
