Abstract

The study of the security of Indonesian migrants is currently in the spotlight for the country's international relations, and the security of migrants in Indonesia is also growing. With the presence of an international organization, namely the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which assists in the security of migrants and facilitates migrants in Indonesia such as foreign nationals and Indonesian migrant workers. The International Migration Organization focuses on providing vaccinations, providing medical devices, and providing medicines in Indonesia. Writing this research focuses on the role of the International Organization for Migration in helping and facilitating migrants who come to Indonesia, with the aim of minimizing the transmission of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach which aims to find out the role of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in dealing with the transmission of Covid-19 in Indonesia. To explain theoretically, this study uses the theory of health security according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the theory of the role of international organizations according to Kelly Kate Pease which is divided into five international organizational role systems namely Aid Provider, Capacity Building, Common Global Market, Problem Solving, and Collective Act Mechanism. In Aid Provider, it is also divided into several types, namely Military Aid, Multilateral Aid, Economic Aid, Bilateral Aid, and Humanitarian Assistance. In this study, researchers focused on Capacity Building, Aid Provider, and Humanitarian Assistance (Emergency Relief).
