Abstract
Rapidly developing technology has provided many benefits in advances in various fields. One example of the use of information technology in an agency is the application of information systems. UPT Pengelolaan Pendapatan Daerah Surabaya Barat is a government agency engaged in regional management in the West Surabaya region. The process of filing letters which is still done manually at UPT Pengelolaan Pendapatan Daerah Surabaya Barat causes the agency to need a letter archiving information system. As an agency that plays an important role, UPT Pengelolaan Pendapatan Daerah Surabaya Barat requires a letter filing information system that can be used to facilitate the process of filing letters in that agency. UPT Pengelolaan Pendapatan Daerah Surabaya Barat which is private in the use of a website and information system, has resulted in not being allowed to make information systems from the general public, including from students who carry out Field Work Practices at the agency. Therefore, an analysis is carried out and the design of a prototype design is carried out for the system that will then be developed. Prototype Analysis and Design will be carried out using several Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, such as use case diagrams and activity diagrams. There is also a UX Sitemap that is used to allow users to visualize how m pages of information systemslook and ensure that all pages are linked. The result of this Field Work Practice is the Analysis and Design of a Letter Archiving Information System Prototype. Furthermore, there was UI/UX testing and a prototype system carried out UPT Pengelolaan Pendapatan Daerah Surabaya Barat Administrative Administration. The test was carried out using the System Usability Scale method. From the test results, further calculations were carried out and a value of 82.5 wasobtained, which indicated that the bullet design was included in the acceptable category, with a B grade scale and received a good or good adjective rating. The results of this Field Work Practice are expected to provide an initial description and design recommendations that can solve the letter filing problem that exists at UPT Pengelolaan Pendapatan Daerah Surabaya Barat.
