Abstract
Technology, which is currently giving rise to a new media phenomenon, one of which is Yotube, has made Yotube social media a new phenomenon in society, where this phenomenon makes people compete with each other to create content that generates money, and these people are referred to as Youtubers. Social status is something that needs to be maintained to become famous and popular among the people. They have many ways to maintain their social status, such as showing off their wealth, showing off their intimacy with their partner, to creating content to share money. This is usually done by celebrities. As for the CokroTV Youtube Channel, Ade Armando's Logic segment: Stop Showing Off Luxury is here to criticize these things. So this study aims to see the views of CokroTV Youtube viewers in assessing Ade Armando's arguments regarding showing off luxury in segments 199 and 201. This study uses a qualitative descriptive technique using reception analysis data techniques. The results showed that there were two informants who were in the negotiated code position, two informants in the opposite code position, and no informant who had a dominant hegemonic position on CokroTV Logika Ade Armando's Youtube content segments 199 and 201.
