Abstract
In the process of surfing the internet there is a url link that contains data, shortening urls plays an important role in surfing, shortening urls is used to make it easier and remember a url on social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Short URL application is a program that allows users to convert long URLs into short URLs with less characters. This program is very useful in making it easier for users to share links via social media, email, or short message applications. In this application, the user can enter a long URL and then the program will generate a short URL which can be used to access the web page which is the same as the URL length. Users can also view short URL usage statistics, such as number of clicks and time of last click. The Short URL application can help reduce typing errors in URLs, and can improve user data security by encrypting long URLs so they are not easy to guess. To prevent data leaks, Base64 is used in terms of URL encoding, and the Base64 algorithm is a program that allows users to convert long URLs into short URLs consisting of Base64 characters.
