Abstract
In introducing a government agency to the public in this digital era, it can be done by creating a website. The website can contain information about a government agency, such as profile, main tasks and functions, presentation of the latest news and articles, to public complaint services related to the agency. As done by the East Java Provincial Fisheries and Maritime Service, which is a government agency tasked with assisting the governor in carrying out government affairs which are the authority of the East Java Provincial Government in the field of maritime and fisheries and assistance tasks. Some of the websites, especially those belonging to the government, have a monotonous design or do not keep up with current developments, which can even make website visitors confused about the placement of features that seem not user friendly. This is natural to find because the designation of government agency websites is only used to introduce an agency, not a top priority in the agency's work program. Through this Field Work Practice, the website of the East Java Provincial Fisheries and Marine Service will be recreated with the aim of updating some of the appearance designs of the website so that it is expected to apply a user friendly impression to the arrangement of content and features available on this new website. The creation of this new website does not mean changing the total design on the previous website, but still refers to the previous website and makes design changes to the parts that have been mutually agreed upon by the East Java Provincial Fisheries and Marine Service. The process of creating a new website is carried out with several stages such as interviews, literature studies, design design, coding and testing processes, to the implementation stage using Wordpress CMS.
