Abstract
To achieve regional independence, local governments must be able to manage their resources efficiently and effectively. This can be achieved through a policy of decentralization through regional autonomy. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of PAD, Balancing Fund, and Economic Growth on the Financial Performance of Regency/City Governments in East Java. The scope used in this study is the East Java Provincial Government Budget Realization Report 2017-2021 which uses quantitative methods and specifically emphasizes the variables of Regional Original Revenue, Balancing Funds, Economic Growth, and Financial Performance. While the analysis and hypothesis in this study were processed using the SPSS 26 program. The method of data analysis at the time of hypothesis testing uses multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study are (1) PAD has a positive effect on financial performance which means that increasing PAD means also improving the financial performance of the Regency/City Government in East Java, (2) the Balancing Fund shows a negative influence on financial performance. In other words, the increase in equalization funds will reduce the financial performance of the Regency/City Government of East Java Province, (3) Economic growth does not affect the financial performance of the Regency/City Government of East Java Province.
