Abstract

This study aims to discuss the effects of eight predictors of citizens' attitudes towards open government and government 2.0, and whether these attitudes affect their intention to use Open Government Data in Indonesia, which is one of the founding countries of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). This study used a quantitative method using primary data sources obtained from distributing questionnaires. The population in this study are Indonesian citizens. Researchers took samples using purposive sampling technique. The samples used in this study were 292 samples. The technique used for data analysis is partial least squares. The results of this study indicate that three predictors, namely ease of use, usability, and internet competence have an influence on citizens' attitudes towards open government and government 2.0, and these attitudes affect citizens' intentions to use Open Government Data (OGD). The results of this research contribute by providing useful information so that government policy makers can direct open government initiatives, educate citizens about the value and usefulness of e-government, and engage citizens more to contribute to social control.
