Abstract
Drugs are substances and illegal drugs which are harmful to the human body when consumed in excessive amounts. Indonesia has now entered into a drug emergency state. According to BNN data, the prevalence rate of drug abuse at the national level has increased by 0.15%, from 1.8% in 2019 to 1.95% in 2021. The increase in the prevalence rate of drug abuse indicates the need for special attention and optimal handling efforts for victims of drug abuse. One effort that can be done is drug rehabilitation. However, in reality the efforts of drug abusers to carry out treatment or rehabilitation are still very low due to the inadequate condition of rehabilitation center facilities and infrastructure. East Java Province, which ranks second in Indonesia as the region with the most cases of drug abuse, requires a drug rehabilitation center with adequate facilities and infrastructure, especially in Surabaya. This is because according to BNN, urban areas are more vulnerable to cases of drug abuse. The therapeutic architecture method was chosen to be able to optimally support the patient's recovery process by creating an environment that provides positive energy, is in harmony with the environment but still provides privacy and physical comfort for its users. With this solution, it is hoped that it can facilitate the rehabilitation process and accelerate the recovery of drug abuse patients and increase the patient's willingness to carry out drug rehabilitation.
