Abstract
Agricultural land, which is increasingly narrow in densely populated areas, is starting to change to a big concept called urban farming, one of which is hydroponics. Hydroponics is a farming method that ignores the presence and role of soil as a planting medium which is replaced with hydro or water. One commodity that is quite often cultivated using the hydroponic method is pakcoy. The pakcoy plant is a plant of the mustard family (Brassicaceae) which has various benefits. So far, hydroponic cultivation methods often depend on the inorganic fertilizer AB Mix for its nutrition sector, which also requires special attention to the use of organic nutrients for hydroponic vegetable cultivation, one of which is for pakcoy plants. This study aims to see the effect of using liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the hydroponic cultivation of pakcoy plants. POC concentration & intervals must be considered in order to substitute the use of AB Mix inorganic fertilizers. This research was carried out from August to September 2022 at the Green House of Emak Farm and Hydroponic Wadungasri, Waru, Sidoarjo Regency. The results showed that the combination of treatments of various concentrations and intervals of liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the observed parameters of pakcoy plant height at all ages of observation, the parameter of number of leaves at 20 DAP, and also the yield parameters of pakcoy, namely crown fresh weight, plant leaf area and plant dry weight.
