Abstract
PT. Candi Baru Sugar Factory is one of the private companies in Indonesia that produces sugar. PT. Candi Baru Sugar Factory produces IA Superior Hooft Suiker (SHS) sugar using sugar cane as its raw material. To produce high-quality sugar products, it is necessary to support the quality of the raw material, namely sugarcane. The purpose of this study was to find out the practice of machine maintenance systems in the sugar production process at PT. Candi Baru Sugar Factory. From the calculation of engine reliability, the evaporator at PT. Candi Baru Sugar Factory can still be said to be reliable or in a safe condition for use where there is no significant damage because 98.3% > 85%. However, there is still a need for monitoring even though it is far from the minimum standard set by the company. In the manufacturing section at PT. Candi Baru Sugar Factory, which is making sugar for the machines involved, applies preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and Breakdown Maintenance because they are considered the most suitable for sugar production process machines.
