Abstract
The existence of MSMEs is quite dominant in the Indonesian economy as a cog of the nation's economy where MSMEs operate in various fields or sectors in line with the magnitude of these expectations. It is appropriate that MSME actors must get the main opportunity, protection, support and broad development as a form of alignment with the people's economy. For this reason, the Surabaya City Government created an application innovation as a form of providing a new platform to help market MSME's superior products, through an electronic-based system in the form of e-commerce called Pemberdayaan Lan Ketahanan Ekonomi Nang Suroboyo (E-Peken). This study aims to describe the E-Peken Application Innovation in elevating the potential of MSMEs in Surabaya City through expanding the marketing reach of MSME superior products. This study uses the theory of the Rippetoe & Rogers innovation model which contains relative advantages, compatibility, complexity, trialability and observability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the E-Peken Application Innovation can be accepted by MSME players. This can be seen from the perceived advantages in the form of application innovations that are oriented towards MSME players, convenience and security in transactions, increased demand for superior MSME products. However, there are still some obstacles such as servers, function performance and application features that still need to be improved again.
