Abstract
The use of botanical seeds (TSS) in the cultivation of shallots, allows several advantages, there was reduced use of shallot bulbs, as well as ease of distribution. Obstacles experienced in the application in the field are the problem of germination and seed vigor. The research aims for testing the effect of seed treatment before planting to germination and vigor seeds of True Shallot Seed (TSS) var. Trisula. The research was conducted in Sidomulyo village, Batu, Malang, from January to May 2019. The research used a complete randomized design (CRD) factorial with two factors and three repeats. The first factor is the soaking of TSS in GA3 150 ml/L, during 0, 12, 24, and 36 hours. The second factor is the seedling depth of 1 cm and 2 cm. The results showed that soaking GA3 for 24 hours showed good germination. Both treatments have no effect on the length of the plant and the number of leaves.
