Abstract

The unsignalized intersection of Wonocolo highway and Pereng road which is located in Taman Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency, has four arms, each of which has a dense volume of vehicles so that there is a potential for a buildup of vehicles. To overcome the density and queue of vehicles at the intersection, an evaluation of the performance of the intersection is carried out with the 2014 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI), namely by determining primary data which includes capacity values, degrees of saturation, delays and queuing opportunities, and secondary data, namely in the form of daily traffic average (LHR) obtained from the Department of Transportation. The results of the research for the existing conditions are that the degree of saturation value is obtained on Tuesday, 08 February 2022, on the approach arm A (Jalan Raya Karangpilang) with a degree of saturation value of 0.82 and an intersection delay value of 14.17 sec/cur with the level of service (Level Of Service) B, while for a 5 year design life on Tuesday, 08 February 2026, on the approach arm A (Jalan Raya Karangpilang) with a degree of saturation value of 0.86 and an intersection delay value of 14.92 sec/cur with level of service (Level Of Service) B. Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 96 of 2015 if the level of service (Level Of Service) in the existing condition is B with an intersection delay value of 14.17 sec/cur, then no signalized intersection planning is needed at existing condition.
