Abstract

Intersection between Pandegiling – Urip Sumoharjo – Raya Darmo on Surabaya city has conflict point and get congestion because also had some condition to crossing, merging, and diverging. Congestion that occured on that road affect to minimum of effective width roads and congestion will take effect for the performance of a signalized junction on peak hour. This research is needed to analysis the performance intersection service level from evaluated the performance of a signalized junction based on analysis signal period, capacity, degree of saturation and signalized junction level. This study uses calculation methods that are guided by PKJI 2014 about urban roads and about intersections traffic signaling devices. Degree of saturation (DS) and average delay (TR) based on exsisting from northern, east, west and south approach roads. Each degree of saturation got 0,86. Based on East Pandegiling got TR= 57,29 det/skr, North Urip Sumoharjo got TR= 53,79 det/skr, West Pandegiling got TR= 57,14 det/skr, South Raya Darmo got TR= 51,25 det/skr. Whereas at the design age in 2026 based on the result using Linear Regression, for East Pandegiling has DS = 0,89 and TR = 54,6 det/skr. For North Urip Sumoharjo has DS = 0,86 and TR = 60,6 det/skr. For South Raya Darmo has DS = 0,86 and TR = 44,1 det/skr. Then after an alternative improvement for a 5-year design life, the degree of saturation on Jalan Pandegiling - Jalan Urip Sumoharjo - Jalan Raya Darmo Kota Surabaya obtained results for East Pandegiling has DS = 0,83 and TR = 52,9 det/skr. North Urip Sumoharjo has DS = 0,75 and TR = 44,4 det/skr. West Pandegiling has DS = 0,83 and TR = 55,4 det/skr. South Raya Darmo has DS = 0,75 and TR = 40,6 det/skr.
