Abstract
Along with the development of an increasingly modern era and the emergence of new companies in the global business world, industrial business competition is increasing. PT PJB is one of the subsidiaries of PT. PLN is engaged in the electricity sector. In the production process, the raw material used is sea water which has been offered at the desalination plant and is then transferred to the boiler to be evaporated to drive the generator. Then the output from the generator will send electricity to the PLN substation. The company has an inventory problem which causes engine spare parts to go out of control. The problem is analyzed using the failure mode effect analysis method which aims to find out the problems that occur in the flow of inventory goods. Failure defense task is a way to reduce problems that occur in inventory.
