Abstract
Surabaya is known as a metropolitan city that has a multi-ethnic population. At the same time, in Surabaya, many diverse sub-cultural groups originated from Western culture and entered through globalization. One of the sub-cultures that have emerged in Surabaya since 2005 is the Punk / Hardcore sub-culture. However, until now there has never been any media that has written and documented the history of this sub-culture so that in the future the punk sub-culture in Surabaya will disappear without historical records. This paper discusses how to design an effective and attractive visual book media that can become a documentation medium about history of the punk / hardcore sub culture in Surabaya.
