Abstract
This paper discusses Bundakata, a book practice with a collaborative characteristic. This collaborative practice is present from beginning to end, from the collection of the manuscripts to distribution, where the whole process involves many people including readers. Through the ethnographic method, through interviews with the initiators and the participant observation method, it is revealed that the Bundakata is a response to the book industry which does not provide readers with choices. Bundakata through its collaborative practice and choice of words to label all its actions is a movement that realizes the existence of discourse in language, media and society. Keywords: book, collaborative, ethnography, discourse
