Abstract
Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) is a type of fruit vegetable that is widely consumed by the public. Apart from that, the price is affordable and easy to find in the market, so the demand continues to increase. This study aims to determine the interaction between concentrations and types of POC on the growth and yield of purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The research was carried out in March-July 2022, which is located on the grounds of the East Java "Veteran" National Development University Faculty of Agriculture. The experimental design in this study used a randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of 2 factors, namely the concentration of POC and the type of POC fertilizer. The first factor is the concentration of POC with 5 levels, namely 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. The second factor is the type of POC with 2 levels, namely the POC of banana peels and the POC of fish waste. The results showed that the concentration and type of POC had a significant interaction on the parameters of plant height (87.17 cm), number of leaves (53.56) and stem diameter (1.01 cm) while the combination treatment of 25% POC concentration and type of POC Fish waste gave the highest yield on the parameters of flower emergence age (46.89 HST), total flower number (16.78 flowers), fruit weight per fruit per plant in the 3rd (176.95 g) and 4th periods (225 .10 g) and fruit weight per plant in the 3rd (357.11 g), 4th (381.89 g) and 5th (350.22 g) periods and the total fruit weight harvested per plant (1,436.72 g).
