Abstract
Tamaddun Afkar Middle School Sidoarjo is a school managed by the foundation and one of the schools that always experiences an increase in new student admission every year. Problems that occur in decision making, where there are many student candidates who register and there are many assessment criteria, and there is no systematic standard calculation method. To solve these problems, it is necessary to create a decision support system that can help schools to speed up and facilitate the selection of new student admissions, as well as to avoid cheating that occurs. The method implemented in making a decision support system was the profile matching and the weighted product method. The combination of these two methods was expected to provide a solution in determining the assessment ratings results of students participating in the selection to help schools in making decisions on the new student selection. The system used in this research was a data-based system and was designed using PHP and the Laravel Framework which acted as supporter in developing decision support system applications and MySQL which acted as a database with a Windows operating system and a system running on localhost. After this web application was complete, then the testing using a blackbox approach was conducted. The result of this research was the decision support system application to speed up and facilitate the selection of new student admissions by using the profile matching (value weighting) and the weighted product method (ranking determinant) at Tamaddun Afkar Middle School, Sidoarjo. The suggestions are that the decision support system application for the selection of new student admissions can continue to be developed according to the features that have been created and with the needs of technological developments.
