Abstract
A dextrose monohydrate plant with a capacity of 50,000 tonnes/year will be established in the Tuban Industrial Estate in Tuban, East Java. The raw materials used are Corn Seeds, as well as other supporting materials such as a-amylase enzymes and glucoamylase enzymes. The manufacture of dextrose monohydrate consists of several stages, namely the raw material preparation stage, the product formation stage, and the product purification stage. The preparation stage of the material is by softening the corn kernels and grinding them. In the reactor, hydrolysis process occurs with a-amylase and glucoamylase enzymes. At the stage of product purification by evaporation so that the product becomes more homogeneous then the product is crystallized. Then the product goes through a quality control process to separate products according to quality and not suitable then to the packaging process.
