Abstract

Electricity has played an important role during the industrial revolution 4.0. In addition, modern life that takes advantage of technological advances has also contributed to an increase in electricity consumption. However, this important role is not in accordance with the ability of the electricity industry to meet the increasing demand for electricity, especially in Indonesia. Meanwhile, waste is waste generated from human or natural activities that do not have economic value. Waste management is an alternative to reduce the amount of increase in waste, one of which is managing waste into electricity. TPA Benowo is a final disposal site that has a waste power generator (PLTSa). From a series of waste management processes to electricity, the steam turbine engine is one of the machines that plays an important role in converting waste into electricity. However, this machine has 24 hour working hours which results in a lack of maintenance on the machine. The purpose of this study is to provide suggestions for machine maintenance intervals so that the machine can work optimally without problems. For this reason, the right method for designing the right maintenance interval is reliability centered maintenance II. From the calculation results using the RCM II method, the correct maintenance time interval for the steam turbine engine on the Stop Valve component is 360.279 hours or 16 days, Main Oil Pump is 1891.008 hours or 79 days, Thrust Bearing is 2017.626 hours or 84 days , Gland Packing for 234,808 hours or 10 days, Vacuum Pump for 983,807 hours or 40 days and Valve CCWP for 495,398 hours or 21 days.
