Abstract

PT. Asahimas Flat Glass Tbk is a factory that produces glass The first bridge in Indonesia. For the AMFG factory located at Sidoarjo produces automotive and building glass. The production capacity of glass processed by PT. Asahimas Flat Glass, Tbk 300,000 tons/year or 500 tons/day. Glass is a clear, transparent material composed of a mixture of very complex of the main compound silica sand, additives and dye. The glass production process used uses the floating method. Colorant changes obtained in tank 1 and tank 2 used to simulate how many chemical compounds and the colorant needed to change the glass from the base color to the target color. The mass required to change the glass from euro gray (GEFL) to towards glass with a dark gray color (DGFL) requires SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O, Fe2O3, CoO, Se, and NiO respectively in tank 1 of 416 tonnes (20 hours), 520 tonnes (25 hours), 436.8 tonnes (21 hours), 457.6 tonnes (22 hours), 332.8 tonnes (16 hours), 436.8 tonnes (21 hours), 478.4 tonnes (23 hours), 478.4 tonnes (23 hours) 436.8 tonnes (21 hours) and 499.2 tonnes (24 hours). The mass required to change the glass from Euro Gray (GEFL) color towards glass with a dark gray color (DGFL) requires SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, K2O, Fe2O3, CoO, Se, and NiO respectively in tank 2 of 520 tonnes (25 hours), 457.6 tonnes (22 hours), 436.8 tonnes (21 hours), 478.4 tonnes (23 hours), 353.6 tonnes (17 hours), 457.6 tonnes (22 hours), 520 tonnes (25 hours), 499.2 tonnes (24 hours), 436.8 tonnes (21 hours) and 520 tonnes (25 hours).
