Abstract
The application of information and communication technology in university is increasing according to the needs of each university. Research and community service activities carried out by lecturers at UPN "Veteran" East Java have been accommodated by an application called SIMARIS. In its application, this application still has several problems related to the user experience felt by lecturers, such as difficulty when viewing proposal details, limitations when uploading files, there is no preview feature for viewing files, and the non-functioning reviewer assessment menu for lecturers. In this study, the user experience of the SIMARIS application was evaluated using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a total sample of 30 respondents based on the UEQ theory. The questionnaire data obtained was analyzed using the UEQ Data Analysis Tool. The measurement results show that each scale has a high mean value with a scale value of attractiveness (1.61), perspicuity (1.52), efficiency (1.64), dependability (1.44), stimulation (1.51), and novelty (1.25). The consistency level of the entire scale shows a Cronbach Alpha value > 0.70. This means a high level of consistency is owned by all scales. Of the six UEQ scales, efficiency is the scale that has the highest mean value of 1.64 and the benchmark results are in the good category. This means that the SIMARIS application has provided services that are quite fast, efficient, practical, and organized to meet user needs. However, further improvements need to be made so that users feel more comfortable and secure when using the SIMARIS application, especially in terms of perspicuity and dependability because both scales have benchmark results in the above average category.
