Abstract

Carbon emissions are one of the main causes of climate change that occurs in the world, this raises concerns for all countries in the world. The carbon footprint of UPN "Veteran" East Java needs to be known to minimize its impact on the environment and support the Indonesian government in reducing emissions by 29% with its own efforts and reach 41% if it receives international assistance by 2030.to determine the carbon footprint emissions produced by UPN "Veteran" East Java based on the activities carried out. Carbon footprint emissions are obtained from the use of electricity and fuel used by motor vehicles in the form of cars and motorcycles. In collecting data using a questionnaire.CO2 levels were obtained with a CO2 analyzer tool used to measure CO2 levels at UPN "Veteran" East Java. The results were used to create mitigation scenarios to reduce e0missions in UPN "Veteran" East Java. Total electricity usage emissions amounted to 156,362.16 KgCO2/kWh or 156,362 tonCO2/kWh. The largest emitting facility is the Joint Lecture Building at 28,911.30 KgCO2/kWh or 28,911 tonCO2/kWh. The lowest emitting facility is mess UPN at 307.4 KgCO2/kWh or 0.3 tonCO2/kWh. The total emissions generated from vehicles amounted to 378,724.5 KgCO2 or 378,724 tonsCO2.The average air quality of 396 ppm is known to be classified as polluted. Mitigation scenarios that can be done: reducing computer use, regulating air conditioning temperature at 25°C, plant trees at UPN "Veteran" East Java . The total carbon footprint emissions at UPN "Veteran" East Java is 535,086.66 KgCO2 or 535,087 tonsCO2 per month. If reduced by the total emissions resulting from combine 3 scenario is 107,073.18 KgCO2 or 107.07 tonsCO2 or ±20% of the total emissions produced
