Abstract

Changes in land use in agroforestry areas experience differences in land use which can affect the community structure of soil fauna, one of which are surface and underground arthropods found in agroforestry areas. This influence can be observed in the presence, distribution, abundance, and diversity of soil fauna species including soil macrofauna. The research was conducted from May to June 2023 in the Agroforestry area belonging to UPN "Veteran" East Java, Wonosalam District, Jombang, East Java. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive using yellow pan trap and pitfall trap methods and arthropod extraction methods on soil and litter samples using a modified tullgren berlese funnel. The observation parameters used 4 ecological index, namely the Shannon-Wiener Diversity Index (H'), Simpson Dominance Index (C), Species Evenness Index (E), and Species Richness Index (R). The results of observations in the sampling area found 80 species of arthropods consisting of 31% pests (25 species), 33% predators (26 species), 5% parasitoids (4 species), 10% pollinators (8 species) and 21% detritivore arthropods (17 species). The calculation value of surface and underground arthropods has a diversity index (H') of 3.89 (height), a dominance index value (C) of 0.03 (no dominance), an evenness index value (E) of 1.12 (evenness high), the value of the wealth index (R) is 9.48 (high). Based on the role of arthropods in the sampling area, the highest diversity index (H') value and the lowest dominance index (C) value were found in herbivorous arthropods, respectively 3.10 and 0.5; the highest evenness index (E) value was found in predatory arthropods of 1.21; the highest species richness index (R) value was found in predatory arthropods of 3.57. Keywords: Diversity, agroforestry, soil arthropods
