Abstract

Banana raja (Musa paradisiaca) culture commonly use sapling seedling, which has limited quantity. The effort to multiply seedling is with banana seedling corm split method. This research aimed to determine the effect of splitted corm size and age on beggining of banana raja seedling growth. This reseach was conducted in Pucangro village, Gudo district, Jombang regency, East Java, in July–September 2022. The study used a two factors Complete Random Design (CRD) repeated three times. The first factor was the corm size consisted of three levels : small, medium, and large corm. The second factor was the corm age consisted of three levels : young, mature, and production corm. Result showed that treatment combination of large and mature corm produce the best banana raja seedling. Keywords : Banana Seedling, Splitted Corm, Corm Size, Corm Age
