Abstract

ABSTRAK There are not many studies or journals that discuss DSSAT software. About how to use the DSSAT software to predict the harvest of a plant. Therefore this research was written to explain how to run the DSSAT software, as well as what data is needed in order to be able to carry out a simulation so as to produce data in the form of rice harvest prediction results. This research was conducted at the location of Buduran and Wonoayu Districts, Sidoarjo Regency. The method used is a direct survey to the land and interviews with farmers covering the management of rice cultivation from planting to harvest in one year. The rice variety used in Buduran District is IR 20 while Wonoayu is IR 43. Climate data uses the climate station closest to the research location, namely the BMKG Juanda for 2 years, namely 2019 - 2020. Soil data was obtained through laboratory tests at the Land Resources Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture UPN "East Java Veterans". The results of the DSSAT rice productivity simulation results are close to the actual rice productivity results in the field. Based on the results of the statistical analysis of the T-test, the value of Sig (2-tailed) is 0.098, so the value is > 0.05. So the conclusion that can be drawn from the results of the T-Test analysis is that there is no significant difference between the simulation results of predicting rice crop predictions using DSSAT software and actual rice yields.
