Abstract

Cayenne pepper is a commodity that has a high export value. To meet high exports, it is necessary to pay attention to the availability of macro and micro nutrients in the soil. good composition of growing media and concentration of kepok banana peel Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF)to increase production yield. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the best growing media and the best concentration of LOF of kepok banana peel, and to determine the interaction of composition and concentration of the best LOF of banana peel. The research was conducted at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, National Development University "Veteran" East Java with a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor is the composition of the growing media, M0 : Soil, M1 : Soil: husk charcoal in a ratio of 1:1/polybag, M2: Soil: compost in a ratio of 1:1/polybag, M3: Soil: husk charcoal: compost in a ratio of 1: 1:1/polybag and the second factor, the concentration of LOF banana peels, is K0: 200 ml.l-1 , K1: 300 ml.l-1 , K2: 400 ml.l-1 , K3: 500 ml.l-1 . The results showed that the composition of the growing media: husk: compost 1:1:1 and LOF banana peel kepok concentration of 500 ml.l-1 gave a significant effect on age of flower emergence, number of fruit per plant per period, fruit weight per plant per period, and weight total fruit harvest per plant. The best results were obtained in the treatment of soil: husk: compost 1:1:1/polybag and LOF concentration of 500 ml.l-1
