Abstract
According to the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in 2020 the Indonesian territory was rocked by many earthquakes, with 11 being the most destructive. The 3-story building structure with a total height of 12.5 m at STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Kepri will be modified into a 10-story building with a total height of 48.5 m and the addition of shear walls, the addition of shear walls because in addition to being able to withstand shear forces as well as can withstand bending. This building modification is based on SNI 1726:2019 as an earthquake-resistant building and concrete regulations SNI 2847:2019. This study uses the static equivalent method to find earthquake loads and then uses the response spectrum analysis method and pushover analysis to get the performance of the building structure. The results of the analysis show that it is necessary to re-design all structural elements in order to meet the requirements of SNI 1726 and SNI 2847. The largest displacement value occurs on the roof space with 22.8 mm for direction X and 17.6 mm for direction Y, also this value is still within below the displacement limit of 46.15 mm. The biggest story drift ratio occurs on the 6th floor for the X direction with a value of 0.058% and on the 8th floor for the Y direction with a value of 0.042%. The shear wall is designed using 16 mm diameter reinforcements with 300 mm spacing and by using pushover analysis the building has a full ductility level.
