Abstract
Usability testing and evaluation is part of the process of increasing user satisfaction. Usability can also be used to increase usability in website user interactions. This research was conducted to measure the usability level of the Civil Engineering Study Program website Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Usability testing is carried out to assess whether the user's interaction with the website is going well and the user can achieve his goals when visiting the website. The method used to test and evaluate this Civil Engineering website is a quantitative research method with System Usability Scale (SUS) measuring model with 10 statements as a benchmark for usability assessment and one open question to find out the information needed by users when visiting the website. The sample collection was carried out using purposive sampling techniques with a total of 84 respondents consisting of active Civil Engineering students class of 2018 – 2021 to be processed using the Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statisics programs. Data testing is carried out with validity tests and reliability tests. The results of the SUS measurement on the Civil Engineering website obtained a score of 63.81 with Acceptability Ranges classified as Marginal High, Grade Scales including D values, and Adjective Ratings classified as Good. The SUS average score is 68, so the Civil Engineering website's SUS score of 63.81 is below the SUS average score. Further research is needed to identify the cause of the Civil Engineering website score below the average SUS score using a different method or instrument. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for further research, as well as a reference for the development of Civil Engineering websites in the future.
