Abstract
Social media Twitter is a tool for expressing opinions either in the form of suggestions or criticism. But people can't tell the difference acts that violate these rules so that a filter is needed which can be a reminder before the user sends or does something on social media. The filters made have been adapted to the ITE Law and the Criminal Code. The C4.5 algorithm is a decision tree classification algorithm that widely used because it has major advantages over other algorithms. The advantage of the C4.5 algorithm is that it can produce an easy decision tree interpreted, has an acceptable level of accuracy, is efficient in handles attributes of discrete type and can handle attributes of discrete type and numeric. Based on testing from several test scenarios, the highest accuracy value the resulting data is 71.4% with a scenario of using training data of 80% and 10% test data and features taken by 10%. This scenario has a recall by 64.2%, 50% precision and 56.2% F1-score. From these gains, you can it is concluded that the C4.5 method can be used as a classification method in a study entitled Classification of Tweets on Twitter Social Media with Labels Based on Articles of the Criminal Code and the ITE Law Using the C4.5 Method.
