Abstract
Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.) is one of the vegetables with high economic value. By utilizing small place in urban areas as an urban agricultural commodity, cauliflower can be grown in the lowlands. The purpose of this study was to determine the combination of the composition of the growing media and liquid organic fertilizer that could affect the growth and yield of cauliflower. The research was started from March to May 2020 in the plant collection garden of the Surabaya City Food and Agriculture Security Service. This study is a factorial experiment arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors and repeated three times. The first factor is the Composition of Planting Media which consists of 4 types of treatment, namely (M1 = Soil + Compost + Manure (1:1:1), M2 = Soil + Compost + Manure (1:1:2) , M3 = Soil + Compost + Manure (1:2:1) and M4 = Soil + Compost + Manure (2:1:1)) and the second factor is Liquid Organic Fertilizer which consists of 4 kinds of treatment, namely Concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (P0 = 0 ml/l water (control), P1 = 10 ml/l water, P2 = 15 ml/l water and P3 = 20 ml/l water). The results showed that there was a significant interaction between the composition of the growing media and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on cauliflower plant height at 21 DAP and cauliflower weight. The combination of M2P1 treatment resulted in the highest cauliflower plant height and weight with an increase in plant height at 21 DAP and cauliflower weight.
